Growing up in New York inspired my design aesthetic and love of fashion. I discovered I had a love for art and illustration at a very young age. My fashion obsession stemmed from growing up in a family filled with seamstresses and fashionistas who created their own outfits. DM Design Studio is the brainchild of 6 years of working in high-end retail environments from Bayside to Fifth Avenue while learning the fundamental principles of graphic design at the world-renown Fashion Institute of Technology. While attending FIT, I worked at Sean John developing wardrobes for celebrities, executives, stylists and everyday trendsetters and fashionistas. After completing my degree in graphic design, I landed a position as a Lead Graphic Designer for a television studio in midtown designing nationally televised backgrounds, corporate media, and any random print or web idea that came into my office. All during that time, I had spent long nights (and lunch breaks) developing my budding freelance business. Currently, I’m working for Prada and designing logos and lifestyles one day at a time. I’ve developed the best place where you can design your life from work to personal.
Graphic Designer
My clients can rely on me to create lasting impressions and unique user experiences for their brands, personal appearances, or both! Building intuitive designs, with a bit of marketing flair for a strong and cohesive identity is what I do. As a designer, I love getting my hands on ideas and molding them into cool visuals that hit home.
Lifestyle Designer
Besides specializing in creating logos, designing layouts for print and web, and packaging, I bring the same basic principles of design to the day-to-day lives of people as a lifestyle designer. From a foundation in design, retail visual merchandising, and styling, I’ve combined all those areas of expertise to redesign personal and professional images.
Besides, design and fashion, I indulge in music, sports, and occasional blogging. Thanks to my West Indian and Southern heritage, cooking various types of exotic food is another past-time I enjoy (hmm, I smell another blog cooking). You can find me in various places throughout New York city, enjoying the ambiance of a new restaurant, museum perusing, concert-going, or just scouring the streets for inspiration.
